ClericSo you like healing and buffing people, huh? Clerics are definitely the gentlest of Duck Soup!'s job class trees! Unless you become a Monk, less cuddly & more punch-you-in-the-facey. Clerics get awesome healing abilities as well as buffs that boost different stats for themselves and other members! The first tier of the Cleric job tree is... Cleric. XD From Cleric, it branches out into two seperate classes to choose from. If you prefer to magnify your healing and buffing abilities as well as some holy magic, Priest is best for you. If you would like to use the buffs and heals from being a Cleric to boost up your fists, Monk is your ideal job. After you do your first job change, you won't be able to choose between either path anymore. You will be either a Priest or a Monk, you just sort of... evolve into stronger forms of that class! Here is an example of the Cleric job tree in case I've confused the bejesus out of you. Also, you can click on whatever portion of the cleric job tree you'd like to learn more about & it will take down to that section below (skills aren't added yet though): »Cleric Clerics are the first tier of the Cleric job class! You can either be a support character & use your heals to help others, or you can assault undead with your holy powers. Stats: INT (intelligence) is a Cleric's best stat. It effects how much HP you heal for as well as the length of your buffs and the strength of your future Holy spell. STA (stamina) is also a good stat for a Cleric to have because Clerics can only use Cloth armor. Spells: Clerics have 4 different skills that are available to them. Cure: Every point you put into your INT will add 10-15 HP to your Max Heal. So if you have 5 INT, you can heal your target for 50-75 HP. 75 would be your Max Heal. Protect: Adds a 15% bonus to your DEF. So if your target's DEF is 50, Protect would give them 57.5 DEF total. Shell: Adds a 15% bonus to your MDEF. So if your target's MDEF is 50, Shell would give them 57.5 MDEF total. Esuna: Cures all status ailments from target. »Priest Still loving the healing life? Well now you have a bunch of stronger buffs as well as stronger healing & regenerative spells! But the best is definitely the new Holy spell to help you smite things. >D Spells: Priests have 5 different spells that are available to them. Barrier: Adds a 20% bonus to your DEF & MDEF. So if your target's DEF & MDEF are both 50, Barrier would give them 60 DEF & MDEF total. Focus: Adds a 10% bonus to your ATK. So if your target's ATK is 100, ATK would give them 110 ATK total. Chakra: Adds a 10% bonus to your MATK. So if your target's MATK is 100, MAG would give them 110 MATK total. Cura: Every point you put into your INT will add 20-25 HP to your Max Heal. So if you have 5 INT, you can heal your target for 100-150 HP. 150 would be your Max Heal. Regen: Every turn, you will get 5% of your total HP back. So if your HP was 550, you would get 27.5 HP back every turn. »Bishop The first evolution in the Priest portion of the Cleric job tree is Bishop. Bishops get a resurrection spell as well as a MP regenerating spell. Spells: Bishops have 2 different spells that are available to them. Life: Breath life into a fallen warrior. They will return with 50% of their max HP. Manapool: Every turn, you will get 3% of your total MP back. »Apostle The final form of a Priest is Apostle. Apostles get a buff that effects all stats as well as a pretty kick ass spell that makes your teammates invincible for a short amount of turns. Blessing: Adds a 10% bonus to every stat. Archangel: Makes your party members as well as yourself invincible for 2-4 turns depending on your luck. No physical, magical, or long range attacks will harm you. »Monk Have the urge to punch things with your holy fists of smiting glory, eh? Monks are pretty friggin' awesome! They're definitely one of the most well balanced characters since they get to be a melee class with their own heal and buffs from being a cleric. Spells: Monks have 4 different skills that are available to them. Focus: Adds a 10% bonus to your ATK. So if your target's ATK is 100, ATK would give them 110 ATK total. Counter: Auto counters for 20% damage dealt. Barehand: Improves barehanded ATK by 10% HP Boost: Passively boost HP +10. Retaliate: For 5MP can counter doing 200% damage next turn. »Champion Champions have the gift of Fury, a skill that increases their agility and strength by a certain percent (depends on level of character) as well as a few debuffs and attack skills. Boost: Has an 80% chance to hit three times in a row. Cyclone: Attacks with spinning fists. Does +15 ATK to any monster. »God Hand God Hands are the highest evolution of the Monk portion of the Cleric job tree. They get a skill that gives every one of their hits the power of Holy as well as a HP boosting skill that has a good chance of doubling their HP so that they have the ability to smite their enemies for even longer. Envigorate: Heals while in battles for +5HP every full party turn. Penance: Causes 15+ DMG to something every turn after preformed until dead. |
